Peachgrove visit with the Year 6 students

On Monday brave Mrs Blair took 50 + year 6 children from Hamilton East School to Peachgrove Intermediate. They were both nervous and excited because most of the students will be attending Peachgrove next year.

We were welcomed in the hall first and then send off into groups to see what it was like to learn and be a student at Peachgrove.

A group of us went to the library and found a class making origami. They showed us how to make a paper crane. It was very tricky so we got lots of help from the year 7's.

Then we had music with Mr Mason. We learnt the e cord on the guitar and then we played some percussion instruments.

In the ICT suite we used the web tool build your wild self to make ourselves as strange creatures. This was very funny.

I had a great time seeing how things work at a different school. What are you looking forward to doing at Peachgrove next year?
