We learnt many things last term...
Learning maths- we enjoyed learning fractions.
We liked learning about Van Gogh. We drew self portraits and copied his idea for sunflowers in a vase.
We learnt the Hamilton East Toolkit.
We have four parts in the tool kit. They are - Being ready to learn; making sense of things; getting along with everyone; taking part in the global community.
This means we need to help others and share; have a positive attitude; learn to get along with everyone; inclusivity; being nice; playing safe; papatuanuku; knowing how to be ready for learning; be at school on time; being literate and numerate.
Some of us learnt breast-stroke, freestyle, dolphin dives, sculling, fun swimming games, gliding, survival backstroke and even bottom diving! We competed against other classes in swimming sports at Te rapa pools.
We had the talent show and we did some flash mobs.
We spent time making our class a visual symphony.
We learnt our class routines and made a class treaty.
To farewell our principal we dressed up as him. We also farewelled our deputy principal by wearing bright colours like she does.
We learnt nutrition by reading the backs of labels.
