We are Volcanologists!

We are becoming Volcanologists this term and learning so much about volcanoes! We are thinking, noticing and wondering many different things. 

Some of us learnt about the layers of the Earth and what they are called, through looking at some hard boiled eggs. The shell is the Earth's crust, the egg white is the mantle and the yolk is the core! We have also been brainstorming all we know about Volcanoes so we can build on our own learning. Some goals we have are to explore Volcanoes throughout New Zealand, identify parts of a Volcano and be involved in some of our own experiments!
